Terms of Service
Effective date: July 6, 2026
These interim terms are drafted for legal review before launch. Local counsel should confirm contest, tax, KYC, AML, consumer protection, app-store, and payment-provider requirements for every region where PlayTrivia is available.
Acceptance
By creating an account, using the app, joining rooms, buying coins, submitting answers, using chat, appearing on leaderboards, or requesting a payout, you agree to these Terms and the Contest Rules.
Eligibility
You must be legally allowed to use PlayTrivia in your location. Prize, purchase, and withdrawal features may be restricted by age, country, region, identity checks, platform rules, payment-provider availability, or local law.
Skill-based contests
PlayTrivia contests are intended to reward trivia knowledge, correctness, speed, and leaderboard performance. Winners are determined by server-recorded answers, timing, score rules, and published contest rules, not random chance.
Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity on your account. You may not sell accounts, share accounts to manipulate contests, impersonate others, create abusive duplicate accounts, or use another player’s account without permission.
Coins and points
Coins are in-game credits used for participation, chat, or answer attempts where enabled. Points reflect gameplay performance and may be used to determine leaderboard position, withdrawal eligibility, or prize eligibility where those features are available. Coins are not legal tender and have no cash value except where a mandatory law says otherwise.
Purchases and billing
Coin purchases may be processed through web payment providers or, where required for mobile store builds, Apple In-App Purchase or Google Play Billing. Prices, taxes, fees, refund rules, and payment availability may vary. PlayTrivia may delay coin credit until payment is verified.
User withdrawals
Players may request conversion of eligible points into a cash payout only after meeting published minimums and account requirements. Withdrawal requests are subject to review, fraud checks, eligibility, payment-provider availability, accurate payout details, and applicable law. PlayTrivia may approve, reject, delay, or request more information for any withdrawal request.
Weekly prize payouts
Separate from user-initiated withdrawals, PlayTrivia may create weekly prize payout records for top leaderboard performers. These rewards are subject to admin review, final eligibility checks, fraud review, and local restrictions before payment.
Fair play
Cheating, bots, scripts, automation, collusion, multiple-account abuse, payment fraud, exploiting bugs, answer sharing exploits, harassment, or attempts to manipulate leaderboards may lead to disqualification, point reversal, coin reversal, blocked withdrawals, suspension, or account termination.
Chat and conduct
Where chat or other user-generated content is enabled, you may not post illegal, abusive, hateful, threatening, harassing, sexually explicit, fraudulent, spam, or privacy-invasive content. PlayTrivia may remove content, restrict chat, suspend accounts, or preserve records for investigation.
Service changes
We may update rooms, categories, pricing, coin costs, scoring, prize rules, payout methods, supported regions, or availability. Material contest rules should be published before affected contests begin where practical.

PlayTrivia does not provide legal, tax, financial, or accounting advice. Players are responsible for their own taxes, reporting, and compliance obligations.
