This is an interim privacy draft for legal review. It explains how PlayTrivia handles information for gameplay, the wallet portal, payments, leaderboards, chat where enabled, and prize withdrawal features.
Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the PlayTrivia mobile app, web wallet portal, admin-reviewed prize workflows, customer support channels, and any related website pages that link to this policy.
Information we collect
We collect account details such as username, email address, password authentication data, profile settings, coin balance, point balance, game activity, room participation, answers submitted, response timing, chat messages where chat is enabled, leaderboard results, payment references, withdrawal requests, device/app diagnostics, and support messages you send us.
How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts, run trivia rooms, calculate scores, publish leaderboards, prevent fraud and cheating, process coin purchases, review prize withdrawals, respond to support requests, improve reliability, enforce rules, and comply with legal, tax, payment, platform, or store-review obligations.
Payments
Card, bank, crypto, app-store, or other checkout details are handled by the applicable payment provider. PlayTrivia stores transaction references, provider names, purchase status, coin amount, and reconciliation records. We do not intentionally store full card numbers or payment credentials.
Prize and withdrawal reviews
If you request a prize payout or point withdrawal, we may collect payout details such as bank name, account name, account number, identity or eligibility information, request history, fraud-review notes, and payout status. We use this information only for eligibility checks, compliance review, payout processing, dispute handling, and required records.
Official content and chat
Trivia questions, answers, game events, and leaderboard messages are official PlayTrivia content. If a build allows player chat or other user-generated content, we may store, review, remove, or restrict that content to protect players, enforce rules, respond to reports, and satisfy platform requirements.
Sharing
We may share limited information with service providers who help us host the app, process payments, deliver email, analyze crashes, prevent fraud, provide customer support, or process payouts. We may also disclose information when required by law, regulation, payment-network rule, platform policy, court order, or to protect PlayTrivia, players, and the integrity of contests.
Retention
We keep account, transaction, contest, leaderboard, fraud-prevention, support, and payout records for as long as reasonably needed to operate PlayTrivia, resolve disputes, enforce rules, meet tax/accounting requirements, comply with law, and prevent abuse. Some records may be retained after account deletion where required or reasonably necessary.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect user information. No system is perfectly secure, so players should use strong passwords, keep account credentials private, and contact support quickly if they believe their account has been compromised.
Your choices
You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information by contacting support. Some requests may require identity verification, and some records may be retained when needed for legal, fraud-prevention, payment, contest, or accounting reasons.
Children
PlayTrivia is not intended for children under the minimum age required in their location or by applicable platform rules. Prize features may require a higher minimum age and may be restricted by country or region.
